STUDENT LED CONFERENCES next week Wednesday 28th September
· Parents can visit their child’s classroom/s any time between 3.45pm to 5.30pm allowing about 30 minutes for your visit.
· Student-led conferences involve the student and the parent. The students are responsible for leading the conference, and also take responsibility for their learning by sharing the process with their parents. It may involve students demonstrating their understanding through a variety of different learning situations.
· This is not the time to engage in lengthy conversations with your child’s class teacher regarding their learning. If you wish to do this feel free to make an appointment with your child’s class teacher.
· At 3:30 under the shelter there will also be

PLANNING FOR 2017
· Plans are in progress for class groupings for 2017. As is normal practice at Immanuel please email darylt@ilsg.sa.edu.au if you have any matters for us to consider when we plan class groupings for 2017. Emails must be received by Friday 21st October and please understand that all requests will be forwarded to all teaching staff as they are heavily involved in the class placement process. Staffing has not been finalised for 2017 yet and it is normal to expect some changes to occur, so please refrain from requesting a teacher, rather reminding us of information that will help us make the best decisions that we can.
· Unless your child is graduating as a year 7 we assume that all students will be at Immanuel next year. If however your child will not be attending Immanuel please provide the Principal with a courtesy memo indicating this as soon possible.
