Senior Unit Update Week 8

Welcome to Week 8 everyone.

As we come to the last part of the term things are still moving along at a great pace.

This week we are going to have some updates on the work we have been doing in the Senior Unit so keep an eye out for it.

Parliament House Excursion
Today the Year 6 group went on an excursion to Adelaide.
We went and had a look around Government House, Parliament House and the Museum.

It was a great experience and we were able to learn a lot about the roles of the Governor and Parliament.
We were blessed to have the Honourable Tony Piccolo (member for Light) show us around Parliament house and explain to us some of the history of the Parliament in South Australia.

At Government house we found out about the role of the Governor of South Australia and also the history of the building. There is an open day coming up so if you want to have a look through the house get along. Advice was to go in the morning as the afternoon is busy.

Thanks to Kate Dunne and Kathryn Baker for joining us on our excursion today.

Exhibition

The Year 7 students are well into their Exhibition and have been working to create their Central Ideas and Lines of Inquiry. Today provided them with a great chance to get their teeth into the work while the Year 6's were away.
Below is some information about the upcoming Exhibition. Save the Date!

Continue to check back and see what is happening in the Unit.

Secret Squirrel updated.
