Here is some news
Mathletics
Mathletics has started and everyone is well into it. Everyone has the task to achieve 1000 points for the week. How this happens is up to you. 1000 points in one night, 250 points split over 4 nights it is really up to you.
Last week we had class success for the Year 6's when they finished 35th in Australia as a class.
We look forward to seeing great results like this as we continue the year. It has been great to talk about the success people are having with their maths and the challenges they are having.
Remember that the question mark can give you ideas on how to solve the problem by giving an example of what to do. Check it out.
Also remember to keep practicing the multiplication tables. It is an important skill that we need to know.
Unit of Inquiry
This week in Unit of Inquiry we are investigating the techniques used in advertising to persuade the consumer to purchase a product. Our focus is on advertising and this means that looking at advertisements is going to provide a great insight into these techniques. We aren't saying that your homework is to watch T.V. but if you are take note of the ads that are being shown and think about how the product is being advertised, who it is directed towards and why is it effective in this timeslot/media? Check the classic advert below.
Our wall is going well with great contribution from our Senior Unit community. If you want to be a part of the discussion click on the banner below
