Whole school reminders/updates

 

·         2016 Gawler Show 27th & 28th August

Our school will be having a site at the show (on the Yellow Brick Road) If you can help for an hour or two, please let Jenny in the office know and she will add you to a roster. 

We are also looking for students who might be willing to be on the stall for a period of time – no need to wear uniform and it could mean free entry in!

If you have any things like this that you can lend us for the Gawler Show, it would be appreciated.

 

 

·         Volunteer Training (Valuing Safe Communities) is this Wednesday 10th August at 2.30pm and 6.30pm in the staffroom.  Any parent or family member who wants to volunteer at Immanuel are encouraged to attend this session.  It is a requirement for those assisting with upcoming excursions.  Police Check Certificates and Volunteer Training need to be updated every 3 years. 

 

·         Behaviour Management Policy

On our school website you will see a link to a new Behaviour Management Policy. http://www.ilsg.sa.edu.au/for-parents/behaviour-education  

This new policy and procedure was shared with our students last week so is ready to start this week.  Should you have any comments or questions please direct them to Daryl or Julian.

 

·         The 6 Japanese girls are returning to Japan on Sunday 14th August.  They will be having some interactions with our classrooms this week.  We wish them well.

 

·         Book Week is Term 3 Week 5.  

Dress up Parade is Friday 26th August following Worship and Praise at 9.45am.  Students can dress up for the day as their favourite book character (however dressing up is not compulsory).   

Movie Night is Friday 26th August starting at 7pm "Paper Planes"

·         Mengler Hill - Faith Lutheran College - Wine Program  

If you enjoy a good Barossa wine why not order a few bottles.  Our school will receive $10 from every half dozen sold in our school community before 24th August.  See the office or click here for an order form. 

 

·         Subway lunches every Friday this term - orders must be in at the classroom/office by Wednesday 3.30pm
